On March 17, my car (2017 Corolla) needed to be jump-started again! Given that this has been a reoccurring problem if I don't start my car "every day"! Once it started, I drove the car around for approximately 30 minutes; however, the "engine" light remained on the dashboard, as well as the TRAC light. I contacted Bernardi Toyota and asked if I could bring the car in. Although, it was later in the day, they said I could bring my car in. I told them they could keep the Corolla and work on it the next day (Wednesday). Before Bernardi closed for the day, I received a call from Albin Bytyqi who provided the diagnostic on the problem with my car (nest in the engine and wires were partially eaten through!) and the estimated cost to fix this. I approved the work that needed to be done. I asked if I could pick it up in the morning, and he assured me I could. I picked up my car on Wednesday around 11am. Albin was very nice and extremely helpful, and he gave me several recommendations/solutions to help stop the mice, etc from getting into the engine and creating problems in the future. THANK YOU!! Manh Pham the assisted service manager was courteous, helpful and considerate of the few questions I asked. He told me the service would take about an hour and a half. He was correct and I was in and out within an hour. I want to thank Manh Pham and the technician (James Erdmann) for a job well done. Also, I want to thank Domenic Plati for setting up my appointment at a convenient time for me, and then sending me a reminder email of the date and time for my appointment. Arrived at 1015 am for 1030 am appointment. Representative stated a one and a half hour to one hour forty five minute wait. Price was estimated at $215. At 12pm the representative came out and went over recommended service and stated another half hour. There were very few cars being picked up in the garage area. I stated that a two plus hour wait for an oil change was excessive. The representative agreed. While paying for my service the representative stated that he took $40 off the service for the wait. However, the bill still came to $208 (really high in my opinion for an oil change). Therefore your estimate was $25 under. I have been a long time customer as you can see from my records, however, I see Jiffy Lube in my future. 15 minutes and $75 sounds better than 2:15 and $208.
